Hong Kong, 28 August 2017 – Petula Kincaid has been appointed by Burda Asia as the Publisher & Managing Director for Hong Kong and Macau, effective 01 September 2017. She will be replacing Sebrina Mak, who has left the company after 12 years of service.
Ms Mak helped to found Prestige Hong Kong in 2005 and in her role as Publisher & Managing Director of the office, was instrumental to the growth and development of the title across the market. She was also central to the company’s efforts to expand its presence online and developing events for our business partners. We wish her all the best in her future endeavours.
Prior to joining Burda Asia, Ms Kincaid served as Publisher of Custom Media, Edipresse Hong Kong and Macau. She has worked with brands such as Bloomingdales, Sainsbury’s, Nestlé and IKEA as well as several publishing agencies in London and New York. Since arriving in Hong Kong, she has developed several custom media projects for some of Asia’s best-known brands. These include Cathay Pacific, Galaxy Entertainment Group, Sands China Ltd, International Culinary Institute, Marina Bay Sands, Landmark and Wynn Macau.
Says Ms Kincaid, “I am delighted to join Burda Hong Kong as the business continues to expand in the region. I am very much looking forward to working with the Burda teams while closely collaborating with clients to develop and deliver effective branded content solutions.”
Ms Kincaid will report to Melvin Ang, the Group Publisher and Managing Director for Burda Asia. “Petula Kincaid has a broad experience working with international, regional and local businesses combined with a savvy understanding of the media industry both locally and abroad. We have confidence that she will be able to continue to grow Burda Hong Kong’s presence in the market and strengthen our multi-platform business portfolio. She leads a strong team that’s well equipped to deliver content solutions for our business partners and readers across various media,” said Mr Ang.
